Volunteer Opportunities
Beaverbrook STEP is a growing, innovative agency that is committed to the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the life of our community. Volunteers play an important role in helping us achieve this mission.  Current volunteer opportunities at Beaverbrook STEP include:

•  Mentors
Serve as a role model, teacher and friend to a person with a disability. Assist individuals in accessing the community and participating in activities of mutual interest.

•  Tutors
Provide one-to-one tutoring in reading or basic computer skills to an adult with a disability.

•  Group Projects
Assist with painting, cleaning, repairing, and landscaping/yard work at one of our residences located in communities throughout the Greater Boston area.

•  Human Rights Committee Member
Ensure that the rights of the individuals we support are respected and promote an awareness and understanding of these rights. Each member attends quarterly meetings and visits assigned sites to meet with and advocate for individuals served.
Training and supervision are provided. Hours vary. If you are interested in any of these
opportunities or have questions, please contact us at 617-926-1113.
